Lucky Travel Weekly competition winners announced London, 16 October 2006… Five lucky Travel Weekly readers have been announced as the winners of the NCL competition to attend the VIP Inaugural event for the company’s newest ship, Norwegian Pearl, in Southampton on Friday 1 December 2006. Victoria Young of Co-Op Travel in St Helens, Gary Toon of Direct Holidays in Nottingham, Marion Dewar of Direct Travel Services in Shoreham by Sea, Jenny Curtis of Martins Travel in Scunthorpe and Jason Veal of MCS Ltd in Solihull will all be attending the gala event with a guest. Each correctly answered the question posed in Travel Weekly on 22 September 2006: Norwegian Pearl is the brand new sister ship to which extremely popular NCL Freestyle Cruising ship? The answer is, of course, Norwegian Jewel. The five lucky winners were picked at random from hundreds of entries and will get to enjoy a VIP day aboard the majestic Norwegian Pearl during which they will receive a guided tour of the ship, a chance to test out all the onboard facilities and sample NCL Freestyle Dining in one of 10 restaurants, before spending the night onboard ship. Francis Riley, General Manager, NCL UK, comments, “There is no experience like actually being onboard an NCL ship and we are delighted to offer this experience to our Travel Weekly competition winners. They will enjoy the full NCL hospitality and will have an exclusive chance to tour our newest ship. We hope that the visit inspires them to pass on their new found knowledge of NCL to existing and potential passengers.”
