Free kids' goody bags add to the fun of family holidays with NCL Freestyle Cruising®

London, 25 May 2007… NCL has announced today that it will be adding to the fun of cruising by giving kids and teens a free on-board goody bag on all summer and autumn 2007 European cruises.

Shipboard cred comes as standard with the Kid’s Crew backpack for 2 to 12 year olds. It includes a Kid’s Crew-branded T-shirt, baseball cap, sunglasses, luggage tag and a souvenir cup with unlimited soft drinks all cruise long. And it’s not all child’s play as 13 to 17 year olds get their own Teen Passport, including 20 non-alcoholic drink tokens, a pizza party with a D.J. and teens-only farewell party.

This great new offer comes as NCL launches its latest ship, Norwegian Gem, with a programme of inaugural cruises in Europe this autumn. The Gem joins sister ship, Norwegian Jewel – both luxury, contemporary ships – and also the popular Norwegian Dream, which is sailing out of Dover to the Baltic Sea. The Gem and the Jewel were built with families firmly in mind with dedicated Kid’s Crew and Teen’s Crew centres and action-packed age-appropriate activity programmes. There’s also the most family friendly accommodation at sea, including staterooms with extra berths, interconnecting staterooms and suites, and ultra-spacious Villas with up to three bedrooms. And NCL Freestyle Dining means families can eat where they like, when they like with up to 13 dining options on a single ship.

“We’re seeing more and more families on our cruises and we’re building our ships with outstanding family facilities to ensure everyone has a great time on board,” comments Francis Riley, General Manager of NCL UK. “This latest offer is just one more way of letting people know that we’re truly family friendly. What’s more, when guests book any summer or autumn 2007 Mediterranean cruise, they can take advantage of reduced deposits of just £100 per person. And with special offers available on departures in the school holidays, it all adds up to the best family holiday at sea.”

NCL’s school holiday sailings include:

• Norwegian Jewel – Western Mediterranean – 7 night fly-cruise from £699 per person (saving £330pp); from £329 per child age 2 to 11 years. Selected departures throughout July and August.

• Norwegian Gem – Mediterranean Gems – 7 night fly-cruise from £699 per person (saving £150pp) with half price child fares from just £269. Departure 21 October 2007 to fit in with autumn half-term in most schools.
