Let them eat Lobster! NCL launches new indulgent on board experience – Freestyle 2.0 |
London, 26 March 2008… NCL is rolling out a new on-board experience, Freestyle 2.0, across its entire fleet. The improvements encompass the dining, accommodation and on board activities for all ages, as well as bringing even more glamour and indulgence for balcony, suite and villa guests. Europe-based Norwegian Jade will be the first to feature the full range of Freestyle 2.0 changes from March 30th when she embarks on her first Mediterranean cruise.
A relaxed, but exciting new range of dining options
Guests will be welcomed on board with bubbly, and NCL’s already famed ‘Freestyle Dining’ will now feature lobster in the main restaurant twice a week as well as in speciality restaurants every night. A Steak & Eggs Breakfast Feast has been introduced in the Teppenyaki restaurant with unlimited Bloody Marys and Mimosas – the ultimate cure to the night before! There will be new signature dishes in every restaurant, such as a 32oz Porterhouse steak in Cagney’s, Plateau de Fruits de Mer including mussels, lobster and oysters in Le Bistro, plus chocolate fountains in the Action Station restaurant.
Be even more pampered in NCL’s staterooms
All levels of accommodation are seeing upgrades to the linens, pillows and mattresses. Elemis bathroom amenities have been added and there’s now the ability to personalize minibar contents. Things are even more indulgent in NCL’s Suites and Villas which will see the addition of MP3 Player connections, pillow menus, Moet & Chandon White Star Champagne on embarkation and a new dedicated butler in the Courtyard area.
Get more active or more relaxed as you wish
There’s a brand new educational and lifestyle programme ‘NCL U’, which offers classes in comedy or food, wine and spirits. NCL’s Kids Crew Hours have been increased, and Teen Centres now include Xbox consoles as well as foosball, billiards and air hockey. Exciting new parties are being launched, such as the White Hot Party. Pool side, the new Pool Deck experience includes a drink flag system on all deck chairs for more prompt and but decadent service, and the new Pool of Indulgence that features Evian spritzers and cold towels.
These multi-million dollar innovations have been driven feedback from guests and travel partners. The roll out of Freestyle 2.0 will be complete across the entire fleet by June 1, 2008, and will naturally include three of the fleet’s newest Jewel class ships, which for summer 2008 are based in Europe; Norwegian Jade based in Southampton from May, Norwegian Jewel which offers itineraries in the Baltic countries out of Dover and Norwegian Gem with her Western Mediterranean itineraries operating out of Barcelona.
