Fly from Edinburgh to Join Cruises in Venice

London, 27 October 2009…NCL Freestyle Cruising is giving guests the chance to fly from Edinburgh direct to Venice - the world’s most popular port*.

Thanks to a partnership with regional airline Jet2.com, passengers in and around Edinburgh can now travel from the comfort of their local airport, with no regional supplement, to experience Freestyle Cruising from Venice, where they can join Norwegian Gem’s new seven-night ‘Venice and the Greek Isles’ or ‘Venice and the Aegean Sea’ sailings which depart from April 2010. The two sailings alternate and can be combined to create a back-to-back 14-night holiday.

Norwegian Gem is one of NCL’s newest ships and is home to 14 dining choices including an American style steakhouse, traditional French bistro and Italian kitchen. Guests will also find speciality Martini, Champagne and Whiskey bars amongst the 13 bars & lounges.

The ship has plenty of family friendly facilities from basketball to bowling, as well as professionally supervised kids clubs where children from 2-17 can enjoy age appropriate activities including teen discos, treasure hunts and Nintendo Wii.
